Barnacles is a great bar. The staff is very nice and they make a strong drink. Every time we have been, the bartender has taken care of us, even though we were sitting at one of the tables far away from the bar she was periodically checking in on us and keeping the drinks flowing. Amazing service. Every time I'm in Hermosa Beach I make a trip here for a drink. It's off the main drag so the crowd feels more like locals and regulars than the tourist vibe I get on the pier.

I used to come here in 2001-2003 since I lived up the street and went to school nearby. I visited yesterday with and it hasn't changed one bit. We loved it! I loved the scene and the vibe on a rainy Memorial day weekend. The bartender girl was clueless and drunk herself, so that's always a good sign when paying. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.
What a great place. The food is amazing yesterday we had the Philly cheesesteak and the fish fry both were very good. We actually are back again today to eat and have a few drinks. The trailer park drink is so refreshing along with the Loncaros. Highly recommend this place. They have an outside patio also.
Great Staff! They do it right. Spent a week out in Hermosa and visited three times. One was in the afternoon to pick up my hoodie I left the night before. I didn't have hope it would be there but, it was! They were nice enough to bag it up and put it away. All in all, it's a great place to hang out. My drinks were made right and I was attended to the whole night even when it got busy. -Willys' Friend
Try the Golden Road Tropical IPA. Totally not an IPA but full of tropical fruit and spicy undertones.
They have coors banquets. Finally some regular beer around. Had some tacos and they were awesome. Other people had some pretty good looking food. Not your typical bar food.
Excellent locals spot with good bar food and beers. The fried zucchini sticks are always a good choice for appetizers. So are the jalapeno poppers. The cheesesteak or chicken sandwich are good meal options. Get a beer.
Excellent mellow dive bar. Free Pool table. $8 points. Great for locals.
